interaction allows users to better understand, manage and cope

& Crohn's is a web resource for teens living with intestinal
and bowel disorders. It containes a series of videos with real
teens talking about their experiences with the illnesses and other
resources about the disorder.

The
SBW E-Zine Scene is an online zine for teens available through
STARBRIGHT World. Published monthly (with full archives available),

new phenomenon in online commuity - user death. I researched the
ways that people discovered the deaths of their online friends and
began to uncover new forms of grieving therein.

National Organization for Women wanted a way to send e-cards that
were politically aligned with their mission. Internally produced
e-cards for a variety of holidays and events was a perfect solution
to their needs.

Based on my online community work
with chronically ill kids, I began this project to take a look how people
deal with the deaths of their online friends. I wrote all the content,
edited reader comments and designed the pages.

Organization for Women
I wrote feature stories and online community content from September 2000
- July 2001. In August 2001, the organization decided to disband the online
community elements of the site, therefore clips are not currently available.
I also wrote copy for and designed several of the e-postcards
still featured on their current Web site.
